College of Communication & Information

Media Production

College of Communication & Information Media Production students are learning about the rapidly changing world of audio and video production, including 3-D technology at our state- of-the-art media production complex.

At the core of this complex is the Production Center, which was designed around the belief that our students must learn by working with cutting-edge production technology. The Production Center’s facilities include a fully equipped television studio as well as video editing suites in several formats, including 3-D technology and computer-based animation. These tools, combined with a talented faculty, are successfully preparing today’s students for exciting careers in the ever-changing world of media production.

While we are currently utilizing the latest technology in audio and visual production, we are already preparing for the next upgrade.

If we are to remain on the cutting edge, we need the necessary funds to update our facilities every three or four years.

Please take a moment to make your gift to the Media Production Equipment Fund.

Majoring in media production at Florida State gave me so much hands-on experience with all the facets of production that by the time I moved out to L.A. and got my start in the entertainment industry, I felt like I was already two steps ahead.
